CUBAFOTOVOLTAICA Workshop

Dear colleague:

Every year since 2011, the Photovoltaics Laboratory at the Institute of Materials Science and Technology (IMRE)-Faculty of Physics of University of Havana has the pleasure to convene to participate in the Cuban Photovoltaics Conference CUBAFOTOVOLTAICA (VI edition now) in December 5th to 8th 2017.

This opportunity our conference will be held in the University of Havana

The workshop will feature oral presentations as well as poster, exhibitions and debate sessions

The topics to be addressed in the workshop include:

1. State of the art of PV.

2. Forecasting of irradiation and PV production.

3. New materials and concepts for advanced photovoltaic devices.

4. New research on silicon, thin films and III-V solar cells.

5. Management of PV energý in the electrical grid, integration, penetration, storage and microgrids.

6. PV applicacions for the industrial, agriculture, and residential sector.

7. Economical aspects of PV, optimization of costs.

8. Development of policies and strategy for PV development.

9. Inverters: Three-phase string versus central utility.

10. Lifetime increase of PV modules.

11. Experiences on Operation and Maintenance of PV plants.

12. PV in the humid tropical climate environment.
